Heavy-Duty Magnetic Base with Attachments
This tapered piston ring compressor is designed to compress 4.125" piston rings. See POW151140 for our other base. These bases will hold any lug back dial indicator in just about any position you could want. The high strength permanent magnet provides about 100lbs of pull, and the on/off switch makes them easy to set up and use. Our bases also incorporate a fine adjustment, which is used to gently move the indicator into place. Our new Heavy-Duty model packs a whopping 175lbs of pull and features a double bar design for increased flexibility. Speaking of flexibility, our Magnetic Flex-A-Base is the ultimate in easy to use magnetic bases. If you plan to do any precision work, you must own a dial indicator and a magnetic base.
