EGR Temperature Sensor
An exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor or, simply, an EGR temperature sensor is used to monitor the temperature of the exhaust gas and to provide the engine control unit with its readings. Its failure to operate will result in poor or rough acceleration, increased emissions and an illuminated check engine light.
EGR temperature sensor troubleshooting
- You should check the EGR valve for wear and malfunctioning each time you replace the exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor.
