Steering Column

Steering Column

A steering column is used to house a steering shaft and different steering wheel accessories. The steering shaft connects the steering wheel to the steering gear box or rack-and-pinion assembly.

A damaged steering column will not provide proper support to the steering shaft, causing excessive steering movements in different directions and abnormal noises when cornering.

  • Steering column troubleshooting and replacement
  • Excessive vibrations delivered to the steering wheel through the steering column are usually caused by either balance issues in the front of the vehicle or problems with your brake rotors or pads.
  • Just about every steering column component can be replaced individually without replacing the entire assembly.
  • Your steering column is designed to survive the test of time. Problems with the steering column usually appear due to occasional damage.
