Poison Spyder's JK LED Taillight Harness system is the easy, plug-and-play answer to getting all of your Jeep Wrangler JK's rear LED lighting working quickly and correctly. It is designed to connect directly to your Jeep's OE wiring harness, and directly to LED taillights, back-up lights, and license plate lights sold by Poison Spyder.Poison Spyder's wiring harness system is designed to take all of the guesswork, hassle and labor out of wiring aftermarket LED taillights, back-up lights and license plate/third brake lights on your 2007 and later Jeep Wrangler JK. The two main harness components, to which the other components connect in order to accommodate your Jeep's customized rear lighting setup. The JK LED Taillight Harness - Driver Side is typically used on the driver's side and does not include provisions for the license plate light. The JK LED Taillight Harness - Passenger Side is typically used on the passenger side, and includes a 6-foot lead and weatherproof connector for our LED License Plate & 3rd Brake Light - PSC Connectors. You will need two of these JK LED Taillight Harnesses, typically one of each type, for most configurations. Each of these Taillight Harnesses plug right into your Jeep's factory wiring harnesssimply unplug the stock taillight pigtail and plug the Poison Spyder taillight harness in its place. OEM quality connectors provide a positive, weather-tight connection just like the factory wiring. Weatherproof connectors are used for all other connections as well as automotive quality wires and split-loom protective sheathing. Once the Poison Spyder taillight harnesses are in place, several LED lighting products may be plugged directly into the harness or connected via jumper harnesses.Both driver and passenger side Poison Spyder taillight harnesses include the correct 3-prong connector to plug directly into the 4" Round, 24-diode LED Stop/Turn/Tail Lights sold by Poison Spyder. Each taillight harness also incorporates a load resistor to simulate the correct power load so turn signals will flash at the correct speed and to keep the vehicle's computer from throwing an error code. No longer must these load resistors be wired in separately with wire taps and butt connectors. NOTE: The LED taillight connector is designed to work with the 4" round LED Taillights sold by Poison Spyder only. It is not guaranteed to fit any other brand or model of taillight.Both driver and passenger side Poison Spyder taillight harnesses include TWO weather-tight connectors for connecting up to two 2-1/2" Round LED Back-Up Lamps per side, for a total of four such lamps. Typical configurations using Poison Spyder JK Crusher Corners and/or bumpers may include such Back-Up Lamps directly below each LED taillight, in the recessed Back-Up Lamp buckets found on many of our rear bumpers, or both. To connect to Back-Up Lamps located directly below the LED taillights on Poison Spyder JK Crusher Corners, simply use the 4" Back-Up Light Extension Harness on each side. To connect to Back-Up Lamps located in the recessed mounts on many Poison Spyder JK Rear Bumpers, use the 24" Back-Up Light Extension Harness on each side. Remember, there are two Back-Up Lamp connectors on each taillight harness, in order to accomodate both a 4" and a 24" Back-Up Light Extension Harness on each side simultaneously. Both of these connectors are wired into the vehicle's back-up lamp circuit. If you wish to divert one pair of these lamps to use as manually switched load or work lights, you'll have to research and make the necessary alterations to the harness and the vehicle's wiring on your own. NOTE: The LED Back-Up Lamp Extension Harnesses are designed to work with the 2-1/2" Round LED Back-Up Lamps sold by Poison Spyder only. They are not guaranteed to fit any other brand or model of lamp.The passenger side Poison Spyder taillight harness includes a 6-foot lead with weather-tight connector to connect to our LED License Plate & 3rd Brake Light - PSC Connectors. On most Jeep JK's on which Poison Spyder Crusher Corners and LED taillights have been installed, the license plate has been relocated from the stock position on the driver's side corner. In most cases it has been relocated either to the spare tire carrier or to the center of the tailgate on those Jeeps where the spare tire has been removed altogether. In either case, the 6-foot lead on the passenger side LED taillight harness can be routed either through the tailgate or along the tire carrier, and plugged into the LED License Plate & Third Brake Light at the relocated license plate. On those Jeeps where no license plate light is needed or it has already been addressed elsewhere, the lead for the license plate light can be simply coiled up and secured inside the Jeep body's corner cavity, secured with some zip-ties.. NOTE: The license plate lead is designed to work with the LED License Plate & 3rd Brake Light - PSC Connectors sold by Poison Spyder only. It is not guaranteed to fit any other brand or model of license plate light or third brake light.
