Clutch Release Bearing
The clutch release bearing, also known as a "throw out" bearing, is what puts force on the clutch pressure plate when you step on the clutch pedal. If it malfunctions, you will experience shifting problems and may notice abnormal noises coming from the clutch when the pedal is depressed.
