An engine block, also known as a cylinder block, is the heaviest part of the engine, which brings together the crankshaft, pistons and connecting rods.
Signs of a bad engine block

Engine block repair and maintenance
- A cracked, damaged or worn-out engine block is a high-road to an engine replacement.
- If the cylinder head and the intake manifold are in good condition, an engine block replacement may be recommended.
