Fuel Injector Seals
A typical fuel injector features two seals, also known as o-rings; one on each side of the injector. The first o-ring helps to seal the connection to the fuel injection system, while the second one ensures there is no leak between the injector and the cylinder or the intake manifold.
Signs of a poor injector seal
- Fuel leaks
- Check engine light is on
- Vacuum leaks
Fuel injector seal maintenance
- Fuel injector seals are not reusable or repairable. You should replace them every time when fuel injectors are removed or installed.
