Engine oil gets extremely hot when the engine is running. For this reason, many vehicles come equipped with a radiator-style cooler, which job is to lower the temperature of the engine oil. It cools down, circulating through this oil cooler, and gets back to the engine.

  • Whether your oil cooler is reinstalled or replaced, all related seals should also be replaced.
  • Depending on your engine design, the oil cooler can be difficult to access, which may affect the labor cost.
