Supercharger

Supercharger

A supercharger is an air compressor driven by the power taken from the crankshaft. If forces air into the engine, so more fuel can be burned during the combustion process and, therefore, more power can be produced.

If your supercharger fails to operate, you may experience a variety of engine-related problems, such as a lack of engine power, abnormal noises, and an illuminated check engine light.

Supercharger maintenance

  • A supercharger is a complex device, which is why it should be serviced by a professional.
  • The drive belt and tensioner must be inspected and replaced if needed whenever you replace the supercharger.
