Front Coil Spring
Front coil springs are essential components of a vehicle’s suspension system. They support the weight of the vehicle, while allowing it to move up and down, when running over bumps, potholes and other road imperfections.
Worn-out or damaged front coil springs can lower the ride height of the vehicle and cause knocking noises when driving over road imperfections.
Front coil spring replacement
- Even if the only one front coil spring is faulty, both left and right front coil springs must be replaced at the same time.
- A four-wheel alignment is recommended when replacing the front coil springs.
- When installed, front coil springs are always compressed by the weight of the vehicle and its suspension. That’s why extreme caution must be used when removing the springs. This will allow you to avoid an injury.
