Front Sway Bar
A front sway bar or a stabilizer bar serves to prevent the vehicle from rolling during sharp turns. By design, it is a solid bar that connects left and right sides of the suspension in the front of the vehicle.
Because a sway bar is used to stabilize your ride when cornering, its failure may lead to excessive body lean and abnormal noises (like knocking) when moving over bumps or turning.
Front sway bar replacement
- A front sway bar features links on its ends, which are the most common sources of suspension noises.
- Replacing a front sway bar doesn’t require a four-wheel alignment unless any other suspension or steering system components have been replaced or removed.
