Leaf Spring
A leaf spring is the centerpiece of a basic suspension system design. A set of leaf springs is used to support the weight of a vehicle and to maintain the proper ride height to prevent the underneath of the vehicle from hitting the road surface. By design, it is a set of metal layers that rest on one another.
Most leaf springs are designed to last the lifetime of a vehicle. However, they may get rusted or damaged, providing several warning signs, such as a lower vehicle ride height and a knocking noise when hitting a bump or pothole.
Leaf spring replacement
- We recommend you to replace leaf springs in pairs.
- If leaf springs are replaced, a four-wheel alignment is required to keep the vehicle running smoothly and safely.
